Big valley in Tobruk

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor sami.brydan brings us this excellent drone video of a spot in northern Libya which was made famous during World War II.  The area filmed is just west of the port of Tobruk, towards the eastern end of the country's long Mediterranean Sea coastline.  The city of Tobruk was subject to a months-long siege during 1941, when an Allied force consisting largely of an Australian division held out against multiple assaults by Axis forces led by German commander Erwin Rommel before being relieved by the British 8th Army.
