To say 2018 was an amazing year in the drone-world for me would be an understatement. I had the opportunity to work with, and travel to some pretty amazing places. And capture it all from the sky. If you told me 4 years ago that drones would be playing this large of a role in my life I'd tell you that was crazy. But luckily my friend, Tyler Mason, reached out and asked if I wanted to be apart of this upcoming company called AirVuz. Over 3 years later, the decision to take Tyler up on that offer, work for a wonderful CEO in Mike Israel, and learn more and more about the drone community, has been one of the best decisions I have made.
As you may have seen my work on here, or my instagram page, I post a lot. All drone content (well of course all drone on AirVūz). But it wasn't always like that.. A few years back, Tyler brought me out to show me his AWESOME NEW DRONE, the BLADE CHROMA.. I know what you're thinking, but at the time, that was jaw dropping to me. I was actually afraid to fly his because I thought it was like a piece of art. A couple months later I bought my own Chroma; and that was the perfect drone to learn on (let me remind people, the Mavic had not been released yet). My first flight I was out on a frozen lake and flew straight up about 300 feet and got no where near anything. Wayy too afraid....
That took way too long, so I'll jump ahead to now... After practicing for weeks, with Tyler, and some of the other amazing pilots in the Twin Cities, I ended up getting the hang of it. The next step was refreshing my brain on the photoshop and production part. I had learned that back in College, but so it was nice to know the basics, but when you have competition, basic isn't good enough.
After a couple years, not only learning from flying, but watching thousands of amazing uploads on AirVuz and getting ideas from those amazing creators. I felt that I was close to that point, where my work was above basic, and could start my own business back in my small hometown of Pequot Lakes, in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota.
BlazeAir Aerial Production is going into it's second year of business and we couldn't be more thrilled with the clients we already have, and the upcoming 2019 projects ahead. I am grateful to everyone who has helped along this process, and hope this is just the beginning.
It was so hard to choose which clips from 2018 - and clients - to add to this reel but we hope you like it!
