Breathtaking aerial views of Karangahake Gorge (4K) /// New Zealand
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor and pilot theStyleJungle created this amazing drone video of one of the most spectacular sights of New Zealand. The Karangahake Gorge is situated on the Coromandel Peninsula on the North Island. It offers some of the best hiking in New Zealand, particularly the Windows Walk, which passes through old gold mining areas and over a suspension bridge. The canyon was formed by the Ohinemuri River, which is a tributary of the Waihou River, one of the main waterways on the North Island.

Recently we have visited one of the most breathtaking places in our area - Karangahake Gorge. It is a wild forest in between the Coromandel and Kaimai range. There are several walking and cycling trails there - from a tine 30 minutes ones to an impressive 7 km one way! This day we took two loops. The first one included the beautiful Windows Walk - an old tunnel with small windows here and there that allow you to observe scenic mountains and river far below. The other one included a 1100 meters long tunnel, that might be a bit creepy, but is very unusual. This gorgeous walk reminded us how beautiful New Zealand is and made us want to explore more!
