Cape Byron Light is on Cape Byron, which is just a few km/mi from the town of Byron Bay in New South Wales. It has the distinction of being the easternmost point in Australia. Completed in 1901, it's light intensity is about 2.2 million candela, making it the most powerful lighthouse in the country. The lighthouse attracts about 500,000 visitors per year.
