CARRERA DE LOS MONTONES- NIGHT TRAIL OF FIRE

Enjoy this incredible and unique event. It is a race that dates back to time immemorial and is associated with very ancient rituals.

Its origins began as agrarian rituals to ensure a good annual harvest, merging myths related to the sun and fire.

The race is eagerly awaited annually by the population of Carcelén, province of Albacete, España. This event marks the start of the festivities in honor of  the Santísimo Cristo de las Eras y la Misericordia ( Most Holy Christ of the Threshing Floors), who is relocated once the race is over.
