The islet of Cap Roig gives name and personality to this cove. The rock formation is of very characteristic reddish tones, due basically to the feldspar crystals that compose it to a large extent. It is full of pine trees and also serves as an excellent vantage point from which you can take exceptional snapshots of the environment. The islet divides the beach in two, thus offering two different environments. The beach is thick sand with a rocky bottom and is a good option for those who enjoy diving and discovering the beauty also on the seabed. You can access the beach on foot, following the path, and can also be reached by car and park relatively close, following the road from Platja d'Aro to Calonge-Sant Antoni.
