California Surf: Storms and waves

The beauty and the power of waves. Winter storms in Southern California can bring flooded streets and mudslides. They also bring big waves making Seal Beach and other iconic surf spots a surfers paradise.

By now most people are familiar with the Atmospheric Rivers that have hit California one after the other since the beginning of the year. And they have heard of the distructive power. But they also bring surf, surfers and surfboards.

On January 13 and 14th, 2023 the waves in Seal Beach were what some would term epic. At 8 feet plus they carried the power and the shape to create great surfing conditions bring out hundreds to test their skills against the forces of nature.

The video was shot with a mavic3cine.  Some of the closer shots in the middle of the video were shot with the 7x zoom.  The color of these clips was definitely different.  I shot everything in normal color mode.  Next round I'll try D-log.
