Cape Schanck Lighthouse - Mornington Peninsula in Victoria
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Gizmo Drones brings us this stunning aerial view of one of the most famous lighthouses in Australia. It's the Cape Schanck Lighthouse, and it's located on the Mornington Peninsula, roughly due south of Melbourne. Completed in 1859, it was the second lighthouse built in the state of Victoria. With a tower height of 69 ft. (21 m) and a focal height of 330 ft. (100 m), the still-operational lighthouse aids shipping approaching the entrance to Port Phillip Bay.

I hope you had a nice week. This video is about the Cape Schanck Lighthouse which was built in 1859 from limestone at 21 metres or 69 feet tall. It is located on Cape Schanck, at the southern most tip of the Mornington Peninsula which is just over an hours drive from Melbourne. Filmed 3 weeks ago on my way back from visiting a few places on the peninsula. I grabbed these shots as the sun was setting with a nice hazy golden glow. I had to be extra careful as I saw two other drones also filming the lighthouse. Thanks for watching and have a great week, Brett - Gizmo Drones Music: Background Piano Chopin Style by MusicLFiles Link: https://filmmusic.io/song/7326-background-piano-chopin-style License: https://filmmusic.io/standard-license Related links: https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/places-to-see/parks/cape-schanck-lighthouse-reserve https://www.visitmelbourne.com/regions/mornington-peninsula/see-and-do/history-and-heritage/heritage-buildings/vv-cape-schanck-lighthouse www.capeschancklighthouse.com.au Filmed with an Autel Evo 2 Pro in 4K 30fps 10bit H.265 LOG.
