Capturing fashion with a drone

Published 11/06/2019 23:11

Fashion and drones recently came together on the same stage in Chile. Drone pilot David Andres Osses of Osses Films used a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom to film a fashion show. The show took place in Antofagasta, Chile. It featured work from the Dust collection by Emma Shakty.

Filming a runway show was a bit different than the typical filming Osses does with a drone. He typically flies the DJI Inspire 2 and his Mavic 2 to capture action sports footage. Osses said the drone's 6x zoom was perfect for the runway setting.

Using a drone gave Osses the ability to showcase the runway models from various perspectives. Osses Films also uses drones for live broadcasts, music videos, inspections and more.
