Carrizo Plain Superbloom 2019 4K (highlights)

The Carrizo Plain is one of the ecological treasures of California.  Surrounded by mountains, the grassland plain runs a length of about 80 km (around 50 mi.) in San Luis Obispo County, about two hours north of Los Angeles.  The plain, which follows the San Andreas Fault, is the largest surviving grassland area in the Golden State.  Its most visually stunning period is in the Spring, when the wildflowers turn the plain into a sea of yellow.  Check out this Carrizo PLain "superbloom" from above in this excellent drone video by alanzfpv.
