Castles of "El Comtat"

El comtat (literally The County), is a valencian county in the north of Alacant province. This land is dotted with castles of all types and sizes, all of them in ruins unfortunately. In this video I have documented three of the most important: The Castle of Perputxent in the town of L'Orxa, the Castle and Planes de la Baronia village, and the Castle of Penella. The first and last retain large towers over 15m high, and the Planes castle it's in the middle of the village. All of them are dated between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries and have a Muslim origin.
