Al and I took our quads out to the Colorado Desert around the Salton Sea. We didn't fly much out there due to it being around 112°. We'd planned on flying at points along the coast on the way back, however the night before we left we decided to head up to Lake Arrowhead instead.

When we finally made it back to the coast the fog was rolling into Oxnard and Ventura. I'd thought about stopping in Carpenteria instead, but decided the best plan was to try to hit the beach at sunset.

I'd planned to fly at Refugio State beach, until we found out it was going to cost $10 to get in. We didn't feel like spending money to fly a couple of packs, so we headed up Highway 101 a bit further and stopped on the side of the highway and flew a pack just south of Gaviota.

By the end the Chameleon was handling poorly. I shattered a camera lens, cracked the main plate, and I really should have swapped the props before the flight in Gaviota.
