He’s taking us to the Pearl River Delta, a low-lying area that surrounds the Pearl River estuary, where the Pearl River flows into the South China Sea. The region is a megalopolis comprised of Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and many other regions and cities. It has become the largest urban area in the world in both size and population.
