Cops & Kids: The St. Paul PD Holiday Parade

The Cops and Kids event at Children's Minnesota - St. Paul focuses on bringing a smile to the faces of children who are hospitalized during the holiday season. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus are escorted to the hospital by a St. Paul Police Motorcade, with lights flashing and sirens blaring, down the infamous and historic 7th Street in St. Paul, Minnesota. As they get closer, the Mounted Police join the team to add to the fun. Upon arrival, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and their police officer helpers, give toys to each child and their siblings. The annual event is sponsored by the St. Paul Police Department; the program also supplies the hospitals with current and updated movies, games and video and audio equipment.
