CORFE CASTLE

Corfe Castle is an 11th-century ruin in Dorset, England, built by William the Conqueror to command a gap in the Purbeck Hills. Owned by the National Trust, this iconic site served as a royal fortress, treasury, and prison before being largely demolished during the English Civil War in 1646.
