Deer Creek in Fall Colors at Slacks Ravine October 2019 CA - HD 4k drone video

I didn’t know about this place until I had the opportunity to video it as part of a documentary on Deer Creek. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this part of the creek is. It has many pools and falls that are hard to see unless you are down in the creek. The drone lets me have a good look without getting wet. On deer creek there are fishing pools and grinding rocks that were used by Native Americans. Along the river there are great stone walls built by Chinese miners who worked at the near by Black Swan hydraulic mines. This area is near the confluence of Deer Creek and the Lower Yuba River. The closest town is Smartsville, on the border of Nevada and Yuba counties.
