AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : In this excellent video by Nelstill, you'll get an aerial tour of one of Romania's natural wonders: Bicaz Gorge. Created by the Bicaz River, the gorge acts as the boundary between the country's Transylvania and Moldavia regions. The gorge is the centerpiece of the Cheile Bicazului-Hășmaș National Park, which occupies portions of Hargita County in Transylvania and Neamț County in Moldavia. The gorge and park are part of the Eastern Carpathian Mountains, a chain which runs on a generally north-south axis through northeastern Romania.
