The Arkitsa is coastal settlement of the prefecture of Fthiotida an altitude of 40 m. And a population of 840 inhabitants in the Greek Census 2011. It is a recognized tourist resort, known for its beaches with clear water and the environment. Located in the southeastern part of the county, on the coast of the former province Lokridas on touVoreiou Evian Gulf. Belongs administratively to the municipality Lokron, based in Atalanti. Formerly belonged to Arkitsa and settlement Melidoni. It is 10 km from Atalanta 150 km from Athens.

The port connects with ferries to Central Greece with North Evia (Arkitsa - Loutra) and displays busy all year round.
