The beach Nopigia extends westward as Kissamos. It is sandy, with shallow water and very well organized, in its greatest length. In the village there are taverns, restaurants and accommodation for stay. Nopigia is an ideal choice for holidays in a tranquil environment. If you walk by Nopigia to the east, the beach is rockier and has pebbles. At a short distance from Nopigia, there are the ruins of ancient Mithymnas surrounded by olive groves, and the church of St. Panteleimon, which is built in a cruciform shape with cylindrical dome and rectangular shape on its floor. West of Nopigia are situated the ruins of a Roman settlement and a church with Byzantine frescoes dedicated to Saint George. The orientation is from north to south, and not according to the Orthodox axis, from east to west, as it was probably built on the ruins of an earlier Roman temple. East of Nopigia, there is a small seaside stone theater, which was built in 1992 in the style of an ancient theater and has very good acoustics.
