Drone Video of Fiery Anniversary Celebration

Soccer fans are often known for their fanatic traditions. Drone video filmed by Serder SEN shows one of the most insane. Fans of the Turkish soccer team Göztepe Spor Kulübü (Göztepe Sports Club) celebrate the team's anniversary each year on June 14th.

The team is based in Izmir, Turkey and turned 94 this year. The anniversary festivities kick off at 21:55 local time at Susuzdede Park in Izmir before continuing along the seafront. After sunset along the sea on Mustafa Kemal Sahil Avenue, partygoers light torches on fire.

As the torch fires begin to grow in numbers it appears as if the beach is on fire. This aerial view provides a tremendous perspective of the bright red flames. Göztepe begins its next regular season in August 2019.
