As of November, 2018, Dubai had 187 buildings which were at least 150 meters (just under 500 ft.) tall. New York City had considerably more - 267, to be exact. That's a lot of tall buildings, until you consider that Hong Kong has 353 - a third again more. It's pretty clear that Hong Kong is the most vertical place on earth in terms of the human-made landscape.
