Welcome to Episode 2 of my Series Drones in Abandoned Zones Episode 2 Porth Y Felin House Porth Y Felin house is situated on the coastline of Newry in Holyhead, positioned between the marina and soldiers point, the house was built in 1849 and is also known as "Government House" or the MOD ( Ministry of Defence ). In recent times the house has been subject to fly tipping, damage, graffiti, theft of valuable items and has even suffered partial collapse inside. The Building is currently owned by Holyhead Harbour owners Stena Line Ltd and they have implemented security measures such as gates, fencing and locked perimeters to try and deter the intruders from entering the site due to safety concerns. The property is subject to ongoing plans for regeneration in the future with the site along with soldiers point (episode 1) and the major regeneration of Holyhead Newry Beachfront . Soldiers point and Porth Y Felin House will have major work on them to bring them back to their former glory to help the ever increasing tourism which visits Anglesey and Holyhead yearly. Currently the building sits decaying in the hands of mother nature, its surrounding area is now overgrown and not fit to walk round, the building continues to fall into disrepair. What the future holds for the Building is currently unknown and all hinges on whether or not the major renovation of the site and coastline gets the full go ahead. Until then she lays abandoned and at the mercy of vandalism and mother nature. So sit back and watch as I take you around the site and See what the Eye In The Sky sees Facebook - Eye In The Sky Cinematography Instagram - Eye In The Sky Cinematography Twitter - @EyeInTheSkyDJI Airvuz - Eye In The Sky Cinematography Email - Chris-Willz@hotmail.com
