Top AirVuz contributor and pilot Nikola Zindovic brings us this excellent drone video from the Durmitor Mountains in Montenegro.  The massif is part of the Dinaric Alps (a chain which runs down the western side of the Balkan Peninsula) and is located in the northern part of the roughly diamond-shaped country.  The video was filmed over and around the mountain of Stožina, which has a summit elevation of about 6.2k ft. above sea level (around 1.9k m) and is one of the most well-known peaks within Durmitor National Park.

The peak of Stožina (1908 m) is not so high, but it is well known and special. Stožina is located above the greenery of Pošćenska Dolina. Stožina is a kind of gateway to South Durmitor. The beautiful peak is located in front of Ranisava peak (2084 m) and the Srablje and Blue lakes below. The surroundings of Stožina are beautiful, with three lakes and a puddle. Modro Jezero is 800 m from the Žabljak-Sedlo-Trsa road. Modro Jezero is 11 km away from Žabljak. It is at a height of 1609 m. Modro Jezero is 230 m long, and its maximum depth is 3.3 m. Its width is from 80 m to 130 m. The coast is 630 m to 700 m long. Srablje Lake is not large, it is 35 m long, 45 m wide, and 1.5 m deep. It is at a height of 1623 m, 14 m higher than Blue Lake. The old people of Durmitor say that its water can help with skin diseases. Valovito Jezero is located in Poščenska Dolina, near the Žabljak-Sedlo-Trsa road. The elliptical lake is located 13 km from Žabljak, 1.2 km from Modrog Jezera, 3.6 km from Pošćenski Jezera and 1.2 km from Sedlo pass (1907 m). Its height is 1695 m, length 225 m, width 85 m and depth about 0.9 m. Its coast is 610 m long in the summer. Suva Lokva is located in Pošćenska Dolina, between Međugorje and the top of Stožine. It is at an altitude of 1594 m and is located 1.8 km from Lake Pošćen and 700 m from Blue Lake. It is 400 m long, 90 m wide and 1 m deep. In spring, Suva Lokva looks like a big lake.
