On a trip to the Eastern Andes Cordillera, Quilico arrived at the moorland of Uchucay, a population located in Gualaceo county in southern Ecuador. From the summit of the Padre Rumi edge (at 3506 MASL.) there is a panoramic view of the most of the Paute River basin. From the Edge of Curiquingue to the Edge of Portete and from the peaks of Mount Tintas in the East to the crests of the Cajas Plateau in the West, you can not do more than contemplate the splendor that dominates the scenery. Towards the North, the presence of the mythical and distant Sangay volcano (of the Shuar voice, Samkay = too scare), which looks majestic with its perfect cone and evokes respect every 40 minutes with its strombolian eruptions and the emanations of steam, ash and rocks .
The moors of Uchucay, are a point that generates charm to observe mountains and fauna.
