El Calafate (Argentina) & Torres del Paine (Chile)

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor Hector Espinosa created this epic video of two well known spots in Patagonia, the region in the cone of South America which is shared by Argentina and Chile. The first area shown is that around Los Glaciares National Park near Calafate, in the southwestern corner of Argentina. The park is home to a portion of the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the region's top attractions. The second part of the video is from the nearby Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, another haven for glacier-lovers.

This is the first video I have ever made, with weeks of hard work to match everything as I wanted to be. Hope you like it! Vacations at El Calafate (Argentina) & Torres del Paine (Chile) Perito Moreno towers above the turquoise glacial water of Patagonia's Los Glaciares National Park, beaming a blinding white and exuding cold blue hues. What makes it one of the most interesting glaciers in South America is how active it is. Immense ice chunks constantly crack off the face, known as "calving", sending huge waves across the lake. Before travelling to Chile we had heard and read so much about the "wonderful" Torres del Paine National Park that we did not believe that it could live up to its hype. Believe me it did. Cloud covered, snow-topped, jagged mountains, vast acres of grassland, turquoise blue/green lakes, waterfalls and glaciers, what more could anyone want.
