Empty Los Angeles - Coronavirus
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Check out this rather haunting drone video from Los Angeles during the Covid-19 pandemic, compliments of brand-new AirVuz contributor Brennan Maxwell. The video was shot during the first few weeks of the quarantine, when strict social distancing measures imposed at the state, county and city level left most of LA's roads, highways, and other public spaces virtually empty. The video features footage of the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Zoo, Dodger Stadium, Chinatown, the famous Hollywood sign, the Santa Monica Pier, and much more.

This video is a representation of what it felt like to live in Los Angeles, CA during the initial weeks of the Coronavirus Quarantine. I was stuck in my home near Downtown and I just had a feeling that I needed to document this moment in human history. I drove around the city for a few weeks capturing all of this footage. I had to get FAA authorization in many locations such as the Santa Monica Pier. Normally they don't allow flight in Santa Monica, but since I had the FAA authorization and I contacted the police prior to flight, they said I was ok to fly there.
