Engadin FPV - Golden Trees
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor and pilot haussmannvisuals continues to impress with his transition to flying first person view (FPV) mini-quads. In this piece, he takes us out on a long-range cruise over the Engadin, an alpine valley in the Swiss Alps. The valley follows the course of the River Inn and is located in the southeastern part of the country, in the canton of Grisons (Graubünden) and extends into neighboring Austria. This video was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in November, 2021.

The Engadin is a high alpine valley located in eastern Switzerland. This place is full of child hood memories. Countless summer and winter vacations were spent in this place. Everywhere memories of hiking there with my parents, sisters and even once with my grandfather. Few years back I returned to shoot some drone video. This time I return to shoot some epic FPV stuff. Each year by mid October the larch trees start to change to winter mode. Their color turns from a dark green to orange/yellow. Together with the sunlight this creates a magical athmosphere with golden trees. Usually lasting for a couple of days until finally winter is taking over. Enjoy flying through some of the most remarkable places in the Engadin valley. Namely Sils im Engadin with its beautiful lake Sils and the Chaste peninsula. The Roseg and Morteratsch valley and the amazing ballroom of the Alps, Diavolezza.
