Exploring a Not So Perfect Paradise

This location has a turbulent history. Twice last century there has been massive landslides, one of which caused an 80 metre tsunami and completely decimated a nearby township. The area I am in today is a lake called Lovatnet and the shear cliff face featured in this film clip is whats left of the million tonnes of rock that fell into the lake in 1936. Surprisingly, the same thing happened just 30 years prior in 1905, they didn't expect it to avalanche twice! The dramatic scenery keeps people coming back to the area but its history of tragedy and death gives the location an eerie presence!
