The video was filmed during the wintertime over the Kainuu region, which covers a portion of eastern Finland, just a bit to the south of the northern region of Lapland and bordering Russian territory to the east. Most of the region is covered in boreal forest (taiga), dotted with thousands of lakes (Finland has a whole has an astounding 188k lakes).
