Fall Colors at Black Swan Preserve CA October 2019 - HD 4k drone video

I found this place while hiking to Deer Creek to shoot some video for a documentary. I still had a charged battery so I did a quick flight to capture the fall color. I am glad I did, as this is a tranquil place with some real beauty. The only wildlife that moved during the flight was some ducks surprised by people fishing. Black Swan Preserve is near the confluence of Deer Creek and the Lower Yuba River. The closest town is Smartsville, on the border of Nevada and Yuba counties. The ponds are groundwater-fed, with a rich variety of wildlife. Many species of birds and the Western Pond Turtle call this home. Even late in the fall there is plenty of water here. These ponds are a product of legacy hydraulic mining activities.
