GREECE FROM THE AIR: KORONI, PELOPONESE (GREECE) 4K

Koroni is a town in southern Greece, in the Messenia region of the Peloponnese.  Seen here in this excellent drone video by Viajes Lost Planet, the town is situated on the north side of a peninsula, facing the Gulf of Messenia.  During the roughly three centuries during which the Peloponnese was under Venetian control, the fortress of Koroni and that of Methoni (due west of Koroni, on the Ionian Sea) became two of the most important strategic bulwarks in the vase Venetian empire which covered much of the eastern Mediterranean.
