Talented content creator oszibuz brings us this excellent drone video of the town of Gillingham in England's County Kent. Referenced in the famous 11th century Domesday Book, Gillingham lies on the estuary of the River Medway, a relatively short distance southeast of London. Much of the famous Chatham Dockyard actually lies within Chatham; the shipyard, built in the time of Queen Elizabeth I and the "birthplace" of much of the Royal Navy for centuries, was the target of the infamous Raid on the Medway by the Dutch navy in 1667.

Gillingham is a town in the county of Kent in South East England. For local government purposes, it is also in the unitary authority of Medway. Gillingham means a "homestead of Gylla's family", from Old English ham and ingas, and was first recorded in the 10th century as Gyllingeham. The town's name is pronounced with a soft 'g', compared to the hard 'g' used for Gillingham, Dorset.
