Golan Heights | The Syrian - Israeli Landscape | Nimrod Fortress - Ghost Wheel
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Explore the sights of Israel's Golan Heights in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot jameelkhair. The region, which covers about 700 square mi. (around 1.8k square km) north of the Sea of Galilee, was captured by Israel from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967 and annexed in 1981. One of the locations featured in the video include Nomrod Castle, a mountain fortress built in the 13th century to defend Damascus from forces of the Sixth Crusade. Another spot is the Rujm el-Hiri "ghost wheel" megalithic monument.

The Golan Heights rises up to the east of the Sea of Galilee in the far northeast of Israel. Home to some of Israel’s most spectacular landscapes, and funniest adventures, the Golan Heights are a land of beauty, far removed from the cities of the center of the country. Eagles nest at Gamla, deer roam at Odem, whilst man gazes at the spectacular landscape Shots & Edited By : JAMEEL KHAIR Follow us : INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/jameel_khair//
