Grouse Falls filmed by drone on a beautiful day in Foresthill California - April 2022 - HD 4k video

Grouse Falls or Grouse Creek Falls at around 500 feet is one of the taller waterfalls in the state of California. Grouse Falls is dependent on spring snowmelt, so the flow changes day to day and from morning to dusk. I was there a little later in the day and it was flowing fairly well even with the little amount of snow we received this year.  Grouse Falls is located in Foresthill, Tahoe National Forest, Placer County, California.

The hike to the falls is a fairly easy 1/2 mile with a moderate grade. Once at the wood platform the falls are about 1/2 mile away. A good pair of binoculars or a zoom camera are highly recommended. Directions to finding the falls can easily be found online by searching for Grouse Falls Placer County Foresthill.
