HENNINGSVAER | Lofoten, Norway by Drone in 4K - DJI Mavic Air 2

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor eCKsplorer used a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone to bring us this spectacular aerial look at Henningsvaer, a small village in the heart of Norway's Lofoten Islands.  The tiny town is built on several small islands of the archipelago, which lies in the country's Nordland region.  Henningsvaer is best known for the football (soccer) field which sits in the middle of the town and is featured prominently in the video; this field was used to film a popular promotional video which brought worldwide attention to the village.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

Henningsvaer (one of my favorite places in all of Lofoten) is a fishing village located on the islands of Heimoya and Hellandsoya. The town has a population of 510 and is replete with cafes and a large harbor for seemingly all the residents and boats. Do yourself a favor and park in the town by the grocery store and take an hour to walk around the area. The Henningsvaer Football Stadium is perhaps one of the coolest located football stadiums you can ever imagine. The way the field contrasts with its rocky perimeter make it an awesome place to explore. And with a drone, you can really see the beauty of it all. Flanked all around the stadium are fish drying racks, great barriers for ensuring the football doesn’t end up going in the water. From here, keep heading South to reach the islands of Gimsoy and Vestvagoya to continue your Lofoten adventure.
