The "brutalist" hotel in Dombay, which never received a single tourist, was built, or rather, not completed, in the 1980s. The name of the hotel comes from the nearby mountain river and Amanauz gorge. A characteristic example of late "Soviet modernism" with elements of "organic architecture" consists of 18 floors and is surrounded by one of the last - a spacious terrace, where, apparently, it was supposed to place an observation deck and a restaurant. One of the authors of the project was the architect Yevsey Perchenkov, a specialist in the field of recreation and tourism, an adherent of organic architecture.
