Hanging Rock - Macedon Ranges, Australia

I was at Hanging Rock last weekend for a family event and took the opportunity to grab these drone shots at a safe distance using zoom on the DJI Mavic 4 Pro. Hanging Rock (also called Mount Diogenes) is a 1 hour drive from Melbourne and is a rare volcanic formation. It has sacred aboriginal significance and was made famous from a book and movie called Picnic at Hanging Rock. If you get the chance then definitely check out this incredible rock formation. More info: Hanging Rock is one of the best examples of a volcanic plug or mamelon in the world. It is 6 million years old and has been exposed to considerable weathering and erosion, resulting in a conglomeration of unusual rock formations.
