Hanging city of Cuenca, Spain
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
New AirVuz contributor gaguilar brings us this excellent drone video of the "hanging city" of Cuenca, Spain. So called because the city is perched on a gorges overlooking the Júcar and Huécar Rivers in the Castilla–La Mancha Region near the middle of the country. The city was first settled in the 8th century AD when Muslim forces constructed a fortress here to defend what they recognized was a highly strategic location. The city came to occupy an important position during the centuries long re-conquest of Spain by Christian forces.

The city of Cuenca is located across a steep spur, whose slopes descend into deep gorges of the Júcar and Huécar rivers, which makes it interesting to see from above with a drone. In this case a DJI Mavic Mini drone.
