Flew a pretty technical course today for practice. Flew my new 220g dry 370g AUW quad for most of the day and flew my old school Alien for some GoPro footage and I have to say that heavy quads still fly very well. The thing that impacts performance the most seems to be quality of your motors combined with the quality of your tune. A controllable quad is a fast quad. The light quad feels as though it has more potential for better lap times though.
