Hot air balloons in the archaeological zone of Teotihuacan
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Here's an amazing drone video of a hot air balloon festival over one of Mexico's most important cultural sites, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Avemkite. The balloons were filmed flying over Teotihuacan, the ruins of an ancient city located about 25 mi. (around 40 km) northeast of modern-day Mexico City. Best known for its giant pyramids, Teotihuacan reached its height between 1-500 AD, during which time it became the largest city in the Western Hemisphere and perhaps one of the half-dozen largest cities in the world.
