Impressions of Elba

An absolutely unmissible trip is to Mount Capanne, the highest peak on all Elba, from which you can admire a unique and marvelous panorama.The lift to the top of the mountain is quite remarkable, it feels like standing in a bird cage going up. The fortress of Giove, sits at the top of a hill on the road between Rio nell'Elba and Cavo, and you can get to it very easily by following a short path through a wood of holm oaks and lush, Mediterranean bush.
