The coloring of the town's buildings, set against the misty green hills of the region, is simply spectacular. While the Lazio region is home to Rome and is the second most populous of Italy's 19 regions, much of it is rural and semi-rural and has a landscape which somewhat resembles that of neighboring Tuscany.
