Isla Saona 2019

Saona is a small Caribbean Sea island which lies off the southeastern shore of the Dominican Republic.  Just over a kilometer (less than a mile) off the DR coast, Saona is a popular destination from other spots in the country.  As you'll see in this drone video by sh4rk1337, it's a boaters' paradise, its shallow beaches providing perfect spots for groups to tie their boats together and enjoy the tropical sun.  The island was "discovered" by Christopher Columbus, who landed here on his second voyage in 1494.
