Itaipu Canal Surf School

This little piece of the sea, the Itaipu Canal, is a great place to learn local surf. Several surf schools take advantage of the small waves that form between the beaches of Itaipu and Camboinhas to teach surfing, SUP and other water sports. Itaipu Beach is on the left and Camboinhas Beach on the right side. The color of water in the video is not dirt or sewage, it is the low tide that is pouring the waters of the Itaipu Lagoon into the sea. The bathing conditions were great and have been this way for quite some time.
