Locations include Lake Orta, the Mottarone mountains, the Sacra di San Michele and Forte dei Marmi (in Tuscany) and the famed Cervinia ski resort in Italy, near the Cervino Mountain (known as the Matterhorn on the Swiss side of the border). Piedmont is a semi-autonomous region of the country, occupying its northwest corner. It is home to the highest mountains in Italy.
