"Jippu Jam" round about is located at the entrance to the historic Yola Town in Adamawa state - North East Nigeria the monument is a large calabash which is similar to the one used to drink the popular "Fura da Nono" which is made by the fulani tribe of North Eastern Nigeria. The word "Jippu Jam" means "Arrive Safely" and was built to commemorate the 50th year reign of the Late Lamido Who is regarded as the premiere ruler of the state.
