Kalkan is located near the tip of the Kaş Peninsula, which extends into the Mediterranean Sea in the southwestern province of Antalya. Originally a fishing town, it's the only safe harbor between the towns of Kaş and Fethiye. Famous for its white sand beaches and whitewashed houses, Kalkan has become one of the most popular beach destinations in southern Turkey.
