Kotor, Montenegro (Cruise Adventure Series 1/6)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Montenegro's Bay of Kotor is one of the largest inlets on the Adriatic Sea. The city of Kotor, which sits at the southern end of its inner section, became a key asset of Venice during the centuries when the great city-state dominated the eastern Mediterranean. It became one of the most heavily fortified cities in the world, withstanding sieges by the Ottomans in 1538 and 1657. In this marvelous drone video by dlockhart05, you'll get an aerial tour of this historical treasure, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

First up, Kotor! During my visits to Italy & Greece, I filmed in every location except one and documented all of our travels to the Mediterranean. Kotor is a fortified coastal town with beautiful overhanging limestone cliffs and the famous St. John Fortress (or called San Giovanni by the locals). It is considered one of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic and is home to a large population of cats that have become a symbol for the city.
