LAGUNA COLORADA

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Here is a short but impactful aerial look at Bolivia's Laguna Colorada, compliments of Victoraroundtheworld.  This is a large salt lake in the southwestern part of the country on the great Bolivian Plain (often called the Altiplano, which also covers parts of Peru, Chile, and Argentina).  Its name ("Red Lagoon") comes from the color of the water, which is red due to geological factors and interaction with algae.  The lake is also known for its flamingoes, which you can see in the video.
