The main island in the nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Vincent is also known by its native name, Hairouna. Home to about 100k permanent residents, the island measures about 29 km long (around 18 mi.) and is about 18 km at its widest point (around 11 mi.). Saint Vincent's most distinguishing physical feature is the volcano La Soufrière, which rises to a height of about 1.2k meters above sea level (around 4k ft.).
